February’s Mindset Heroes

Congratulations to our Jackson County Monthly Mindset Heroes representing Jackson County High School for the month of February- Mrs. Danette O’Kelley! She was honored for demonstrating the mindset of LIVE TO GIVE!

“Mrs. O’Kelley is a great colleague and teacher. All you have to do is walk into her classroom for a couple of minutes to see how much her students love and appreciate her because of her ability to make a difference. Mrs. O’Kelley is creative in how she supports her students and lets them know that she cares about their well-being. In the spirit of making a difference–Mrs.O’Kelley is always doing something for others every day in every little way she can–like complimenting others on a well-designed lesson plan or making sure to say hello to everyone she passes in the hallway. Mrs. O’Kelley understands that every small thing we can do for others goes a long way towards having an amazing school!”

Congratulations to our Jackson County Monthly Mindset Heroes representing Jackson County High School for the month of February- Macy Keisler! She was honored for demonstrating the mindset of 100% ACCOUNTABLE!

“Macy perfectly embodies the 100% accountable mindset. She is responsible and confident in her actions, shining as a leader in the classroom and on the yearbook staff. Not only is she reliable in terms of completing work, communicating with others, and doing any job given to her, she understands that she is fully responsible for her own choices and actions. She is not afraid to step up to a challenge: even when overwhelmed, she’ll take a breath, smile and say “I’ll figure it out.” Maya Angelou once said “nothing will work unless you do” and Macy helps make our whole school community work by virtue of her own hard work.”
