What is JCAT?
JCAT is a joint venture between teachers, parents, and community members designed to serve Jackson County High School and its students. Any parent or teacher may be a member of JCAT regardless of financial contribution. Participation can come in many forms, including – but not limited to – volunteering, serving as a mentor, partnering with JCCHS to provide educational experiences for students, or providing financial support.
While parents may be involved in numerous booster clubs and groups at JCCHS, JCAT serves to enhance the academic mission of the school.
The mission of the Jackson County Academic Team (JCAT) is to promote academic achievement by providing parents and community members an avenue to support the students, teachers, and staff of JCCHS.
The goals for the Jackson County Academic Team are to:
Enhance and support JCCHS academics
Recognize the achievements of students and staff
Provide an avenue for parent education and volunteers
Promote school spirit within the school and in our community
Develop and foster strong family connections to JCCHS
